A positive statement in the run-up to the presidential elections ?

As you know, for several years and especially in the run-up to the presidential elections in November, Donald Trump has been stepping up his pro-Bitcoin rhetoric.

Early this morning, the former president went so far as to announce that he would like to see the rest of Bitcoin mined in the United States. Indeed, he explains that this is the country’s last line of defense against central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), while at the same time giving the country energy advantages:

The former president made the announcement, just after a meeting with Bitcoin miners. The meeting took place on Tuesday at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida.

Several executives from companies specializing in Bitcoin mining were present, including Jason Les, CEO of Rio Platforms, and Matthew Schultz, CEO of CleanSpark. The latter referred to Donald Trump as a “bitcoin fan”.

After the meeting, the founder of Fabiano Consulting highlighted the advantages of this industry for the world’s leading power:

We need to encourage the growth of the Bitcoin mining industry in America. Bitcoin mining offers substantial benefits, including strengthening the power grid and promoting job creation, especially in small-town USA.
